The Starday Custom Series Price Guide [X]
This guide is focused on the Starday Custom series which featured the Starday label name on many of the more promising releases from 1954-1958 which were released regionally. In addition, hundreds of other label names were used as most artist's used a custom or vanity label name for their own release(s). All releases shared a common numerical sequence which began at 500 in 1953 and ended in the mid-1960's at over 1100. The guide currently features over 400 releases in the Custom series primarily in the Rockabilly and Country genres and is expanding regularly.

Starday (Custom PD Series) (Madison, Tennessee, USA)
The Starday Custom “PD” (Package Deal) Series (sometimes referred to as the Regional Series) was created by Starday records offering a custom pressing service for artists wanting to release their own records. Most releases had label names selected by the customers resulting in the PD Series having hundreds of different label names. The Starday label name was used on many of the more promising releases from 1954-1958 which were released regionally. All releases shared a common numerical sequence which began at 500 in 1953 and apparently ended in the mid-1960's at over 1100. Be careful not to confuse duplicate numbers in Starday's main series with these early regional numbers as Starday's main series reached 500 in 1960.
